What is Project SHARE?

Project SHARE is a program of The Salvation Army Georgia Division, largely funded through the monthly donations of Georgia’s utility customers – most notably, Georgia Power customers.

SHARE provides emergency bill-payment assistance to individuals and families facing a temporary crisis that threatens their home. SHARE attempts to target the most urgent need, whether it is a utility bill, a part of a rent payment or an emergency prescription.

To apply for aid, make an appointment at the SHARE Partner Agency in your county of residence. Each eligibility decision is based on the change in circumstances that caused the crisis, as determined by a local case manager. The level of assistance is based on need, available funds and what it will take to resolve the crisis.
